Объявляла об отказе от наиболее грубых форм политической экспансии в странах Латинской Америки. Ее практическим воплощением стали Чапультепекский акт [Act of Chapultepec, Chapultepec Conference] (1945), договор в Рио-де-Жанейро [Rio Treaty] (1947) и создание Организации американских государств [ Organization of American States]. После Рузвельта трансформировалась в политику "доброго партнерства" [Good Partner Policy] (1960) администрации президента Д. Эйзенхауэра [ Eisenhower, Dwight David (Ike)] и "Союз ради прогресса" [ Alliance for Progress] администрации президента Дж.
